warped tour 2012: detroit

the day honestly started out soooo shitty.

not even two miles from the venue, we get stuck in traffic from everyone trying to get to the venue. of mice and mens bus got stuck in it next to us, and we kept waving to the driver so he called austin to the front so he could see. because it was so hot out it caused gabbys car to over heat and start smoking. we decided to pull over and let the car cool down. we got offered by sooo many people for rides, some people even gave us water and stuff. two girls stoped and offered to take gabby to a gas station and get antifreeze. she came back, put the antifreeze in then we continued on. we literally where at the exit to the venue and her car legit just shut down. like would not even start. we where actually so close to the venue that we could see the stages and hear everything so we contiplated walking to it. we where stuck there for like 30 minutes and gabby decided she should try turning the car on one more time before we started walking. somehow, by the grace of god the car started and we made it to the venue. when we got there i had to go to will call because i was on the guest list for sleeping with sirens. after walking around the WHOLE building i finally found where i needed to be. i told her my name and she couldnt find it on the list. i was freaking out. the girl working goes, “text or call kellin and tell him to come get you.” i was like “well thats my problem, i won a guest list spot on twitter and the only proof i have to show you is a dm.” and she just handed me a ticket. literally the sweetest thing someone has ever done for me.

my friends missed most the bands they wanted to see, and we JUST missed the atl signing so me and eryn decided we’d go to the atl tent for a bit and talk to vinny and travis. we got there and vinny was stuffing his face and travis was helping some people so we waited to the side. a girl walks up to travis and goes ‘uhm, do you know when the peirce the vail signing is?’ the look on travis’ face. he goes ‘uhm, i work for all time low, obviously because of the tent youre at so your gonna have to ask someone else. their tents right over there if that helps.’  i was literally laughing sooo hard. he walks over to us and goes ‘what in the actual fuck? i understand if someones gonna come up to the tent and just say hi, like im all down for that, but if youre gonna ask a dumb ass fucking question just walk away.’ i was crying.

when then made our way over to the monster stage to watch the rest of you me at six’s set before sleeping with sirens. i was actually reallllyyy impressed with you me at six. i havent ever listened to any of their stuff but they where reallly good. sleeping with sirens came on and killed it per usual. kellin kept saying how happy they where to be home and how our crowd had been the best so far. which was probably true. there was probably nearly 1000 people watching them. at one point he just stood on a speaker box and just stared at the crowd like he was blown away. it was amazing.

I got sepparated from my group for a bit so i went inside to sit down. when i made my way back out to find my group atl had just started playing so i bee lined it to the stage. i literally just sat there and cried. it had been over 9 months sence i saw them last, and they are so perfect and they make me sooooo happy. idk i just cried. i couldnt see rian from where i was, but alex, jack, and zack literally had so much energy. out of the five times ive seen them, they where insane. alex was shirtless the entier time and it was perfect. jack was wearing shorts and i nearly died. even though the set was only 8 songs long, it was amazing. i dont think they ever put on a bad show. the crowd was sooo big. standing down in the crowd it feels so small but after seeing the pictures they posted last night i stand corrected.

me and eryn went back into the venue to find the rest of our group. we sat down for a bit. they had catering on the floor of the basketball stadium and we could sit in the seats around it so we band watched in the catering for a little then made our way back out to his a few merch tents before the night ended. our friend wasnt able to come back in after she left to get her car towed so we only had like 45 minutes to get to the last few tents before we where getting picked up by her and her mom. we had been looking for jac vanek and we the kings tent ALL day and we finally found it completely across the parking lot. we all got bracelets from jac. mines a skinny bracelet with crosses on it and its probably my favorite purchase of the night. we then walked across to the we the kings tent. as were standing in line i hear a ‘hey guys’ and i turn around and travis clark is standing literally like 10 feet from me. i legit had a full blown panic attack. that might sound crazy but i’ve been waiting like three years to meet him. after waiting like 15 minutes i finally made my way to the front by him. he just finished taking a picture with the girl next to me and was turning around to hug me and some guy just like pushed infront of me. travis gave him the weirdest look. they took a picture and what not and when he walked away travis turned to me and just embraced me in a big hug and said ‘i love you.’ we took a picture and he kinda huged me again and said ‘it was nice meeting you!’ and i walked away.

even though the day started off sooo shitty it ended to perfectly and i couldnt have asked for it to go any better. <3
